Diving Unlimited International recalls weight systems due to drowning hazard
About 1,500 DUI Weight & Trim System Classics and DUI Weight & Trim System IIs were recalled due to a manufacturing defect. When the handle is pulled, the defect prevents the weight pockets from detaching from the harness properly. No injuries or incidents have been reported. The weight systems were manufactured in China. Petzl America recalls lanyards due to falling hazard
About 375,000 Scorpio and Absorbica Shock Absorbing Lanyards have been recalled due to a fall injury suffered in France. Some of the recalled lanyards are missing a safety stitch on the attachment loop, which could cause the lanyard to disconnect from the climbing harness. The Petzl America lanyards were made in France. See the recall.
Meijer reannounces recall for heater due to fire hazard
About 13,000 Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters were recalled by Meijer after two reports of fires resulting in property damage. It was determined that the heaters continued to be sold after the original November 2010 recall. The heaters were made in China. See the recall.
Target recalls task lamps due to fire and laceration hazards
About 13,000 Circo Children’s Task Lamps were recalled after six reports of glue on the lamp socket melted and oozed into the bulb area of the socket. The Circo Children’s Task Lamps were manufactured in China. See the recall.
Swix Sport USA recalls ski helmets due to head injury hazard
About 800 Uvex Funride Ski Helmets were recalled after determination that the helmet does not provide adequate shock absorption or resistance to piercing objects, risking injury to the head. Homelite recalls pressure washers attachments due to laceration hazard
About 41,200 Homelite Surface Cleaner Attachments were recalled after nine reports of the attachment nozzle and spray bar detaching or breaking, ejecting the nozzle, spray bar, or plastic housing. One injury and three incidents of property damage have been reported. The Homelite surface cleaner attachments were made in China. See the recall.
