It’s no secret that higher education is a major key to a better quality of life. Students who attain degrees, whether it’s from a Trade School, Junior College, Two-Year Associates, Four-Year Bachelors or post graduate, gain more from their experience than just the studies alone.

It’s no secret that higher education is a major key to a better quality of life. Students who attain degrees, whether it’s from a Trade School, Junior College, Two-Year Associates, Four-Year Bachelors or post graduate, gain more from their experience than just the studies alone.

To help kick off The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker Community Scholarship application period for the second year in a row, we recently caught up with our $5,000 scholarship recipient  Lynzie Glover,  to find out what she has been up to this past year as a freshman at UCLA College.

Here is what she had to say about how the Community Scholarship program helped further her studies:

“This year I began taking film classes, which has turned out to be amazing! My teachers are extremely passionate about the course they teach, which it has helped me put my best academic foot forward.

I’m able to think of film more critically and college more reflectively. I never realized how much thought directors and writers put into seemingly simple things, like the names of characters! So far, I’ve learned what it takes to make a winning script and all about great film makers who have made their mark, both in the past and present.

This scholarship has allowed me to come up with my own definition of college. Instead of focusing on tuition, I have been able to concentrate on my education. I know that when I leave UCLA College, I will not only have a greater understanding of the film industry, but also never look at movies the same way again. I can’t wait to start my career! ”

A college scholarship grant is an investment in the lives of individual students, just like Lynzie. In every innovation they engineer, every groundbreaking discovery they make, every leap in the human experience they reveal; some investments are simply beyond calculation.
