San Jose, CA (April 3, 2024) – Qinghua Liu (79) died in a pedestrian accident after a vehicle hit him while crossing eastbound on Saratoga Avenue. According to The Mercury News, the incident happened at about 7:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Reportedly, Qinghua Liu was crossing Saratoga Avenue when a driver in a black 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage hit him. Unfortunately, he died from major injuries on the spot.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed and helped with the investigation.
As of now, the investigations suggested Qinghua Liu crossed against a red light. Moreover, alcohol and drugs were not factors.
Sadly, Qinghua Liu’s death is the city’s 11th traffic death this year.
