This incident took place just before 2 a.m. Sunday, near Jersey and 17th avenues, just outside Hanford.

Upon arrival, officers found the individual by the roadside, suffering from major injuries. 

Subsequently, the victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the officials found no vehicles nearby and no witnesses to the event.
