Monterey County, CA (March 2, 2024) –  David John Mendoza II (54) of Marina died in a hit-and-run accident on Blanco Road near Cooper Road after a vehicle hit him and knocked him off his scooter. According to KSBW, the incident happened on Friday morning.

David John Mendoza II, a 54-year-old from Marina, lost his life in a hit-and-run accident on Blanco Road near Cooper Road early Friday morning.

According to the report, a vehicle struck him while traveling westbound on Blanco Road, just past Cooper Road. As a result, the impact threw him from his scooter.

Then, emergency services transported him to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office later identified him as David John Mendoza II.

At present, the California Highway Patrol is seeking information from the public about the crash.
