Cottonwood, CA (May 13, 2024) – A car accident in Cottonwood killed a pregnant Anderson woman and injured one driver on Bowman Road near Adams Road. According to KRCR, the crash happened at around 4:40 a.m on Monday.

A car accident in Cottonwood killed a pregnant Anderson woman and injured one driver on Bowman Road near Adams Road, California Highway Patrol reports.

Reportedly, for reasons still under investigation, a 33-year-old Anderson woman drove her 2010 Chevy Equinox west on Bowman. Suddenly, her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane, violating the double-yellow lines.

Then, the Chevy Equinox collided head-on with a 2018 Ford F-150 traveling east, driven by 39-year-old Joshua Gay from Cottonwood.

As a result, emergency personnel had to extricate both drivers from their vehicles following the crash.

Joshua Gay sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Meanwhile, responders also rushed the pregnant driver of the Equinox to Mercy Medical. 

Sadly, she and her child were pronounced dead after this car accident in Cottonwood.
