From the opening of The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker in 1974, Larry has been the driving force behind our commitment to fighting for our clients with unwavering compassion, dedication and integrity. He has had a profound impact, not just on our firm, but the legal community as a whole.

We could see the average man or woman needed someone on their side who understood the system and knew how to fight back, and that’s been our mission since day one. The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker continues under the leadership of Ron Beck, Larry’s partner of over 30 years. Our firm, with a dedicated team of over 125 attorneys and staff, is committed to upholding Larry’s legacy by persisting in the fight for our clients, as Larry would have wanted.

Mitchell Beck
Senior Trial Attorney
Mitchell Beck attended undergraduate school at the University of California, Davis, earning a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History. He went straight to Law School at the University of San Diego, School of Law, earning his J.D., with Cum Laude honors.
Mitchell Beck is a Senior Trial Attorney with over a decade of experience. At the Law Offices of Larry H. Parker who represents plaintiffs who have suffered all types of injuries, from fractures and spinal cord injuries to catastrophic injuries and wrongful deaths. His primary focus is in Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Bakersfield, but expands all across California. Mr. Beck has years of experience in all aspects of a case, ranging from pre-litigation to trials, and even appellate work. Coupling his attention to detail and client communication with tenacious advocacy on behalf of his client, Mr. Beck has recovered millions of dollars for his clients since joining the firm, including several 7 figure results.
In his free time, Mr. Beck enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, caring for his dog, skiing, traveling and is an avid Dodgers fan.
Paul Philips
Senior Trial Attorney
As a lawyer for nearly 30 years, Mr. Philips enjoys a uniquely successful litigation career marked by meaningful results for his clients.
In mid-1990s, he represented 600 families against a utility giant, contributing to a +$300M resolution. The case was retold as the 2000 feature film “Erin Brockovich.” In 2004, Mr. Philips’ successful representation of a celebrity client against Hollywood icon Zsa Zsa Gabor garnered international media attention.
In 2013, he sued Nike, Inc. and Apple Inc. regarding the Nike+ FuelBand, about which the corporations had misled the public, and resolved the case for a class of +1M U.S. consumers. Thereafter in 2013, Mr. Philips successfully represented the family of legendary musician Marvin Gaye in a famous federal action, with the 2015 verdict of $7.4M being the largest music copyright verdict in history.
In 2015, Mr. Philips successfully defended a national fertility clinic alongside actress Sophia Vergara in a case concerning complicated legal issues regarding cryogenically-preserved embryos. Mr. Philips’ work with Ms. Vergara caused the opponent to dismiss his lawsuit.
In 2016, Mr. Philips worked to pass California’s AB1542 (now Penal Code section 667.95 and known as “Jordan’s Law”), a first-in-the-nation law aimed at deterring children from committing social media-motivated felonies. A year later, Mr. Philips took on the world’s largest talent agency in a landmark action alleging sexual battery and gender violence upon an actress. The case resulted in heavy media coverage, and marked a turning point in the recognition of Hollywood’s sexual harassment culture.
In 2022, Mr. Philips successfully represented fitness celebrity Jillian Michaels in a malpractice action against one of the world’s largest law firms.
In 2025, Mr. Philips recovered $2.3M at trial for a client who had rear ended another driver on the freeway, convincing a jury that the rear-end accident was the other driver’s fault.
In his spare time, Mr. Philips is happily busy with his family as a music, basketball, and football fan, hopeful amateur drummer, and jiu-jitsu practitioner.
Vy Nguyen
Supervising Attorney
Vy T. Nguyen is the supervising attorney at Larry H. Parker. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine where she studied psychology. Upon graduation, Ms. Nguyen wanted to be sure that a legal career was her calling, so she set out to work in a law firm before attending law school. She accepted her first position in the legal profession as Secretary in a small, boutique personal injury law firm and was quickly promoted to the positions of Case Manager and Litigation Clerk. Ms. Nguyen discovered that she loved working in the legal industry; particularly helping clients navigate the confusing and often difficult road to recovery after sustaining injuries.
Ms. Nguyen was offered an academic scholarship by Whittier College School of Law and proceeded to join the California State Bar. During law school, Ms. Nguyen worked as a Law Clerk at several prominent Personal Injury law firms to gain experience in the industry.
Ms. Nguyen attributes her aptitude for personal injury law to an extraordinary wealth of experience and her personal fondness for the practice.
Before joining Larry H. Parker, Ms. Nguyen led the prelitigation departments of nationally known law firms based in southern California. She has collected many professional accolades over the course of her legal career. Ms. Nguyen didn’t just work through the ranks, she did so in a wide variety of law firms. She worked in every level of law firm management as her education and experience advanced. Building upon this broad and deep base of knowledge and experience, she pushes the performance of Larry H. Parker’s pre-litigation unit to the top of the profession.
Vy is an avid reader, sports fan, and traveler. She spends her free time exploring the wonders of nature and seeking out new experiences.

I went to SUNY New Paltz for my undergraduate studies, where I finished summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in History. I then went straight to law school at Cornell University, where I was awarded the Gray Thoron scholarship. After graduating, I practiced law in New York for a few years before coming to Los Angeles and working for Larry H. Parker as an associate litigation attorney. In my spare time I enjoy going to different restaurants and trying different foods in LA, going to the gym, and watching sports (I’m unfortunately a Mets and Jets fan).
Harold Caylao
Associate Attorney - Demands/Litigation
Harold attended undergrad at UCLA, graduating in 2019. He involved himself heavily in the Pilipinx community and devoted his time towards Pilipinx community advancement through outreach, mentoring, and visibility on campus. During his senior year at UCLA, Harold volunteered with JusticeCorps where he assisted self-represented litigants in filing for divorce and child custody. Harold then went on to attend Southwestern Law School where he received his J.D. in 2024, being the first in his family to graduate law school. While in law school, Harold was part of the Dean’s Fellow program, an opportunity given only to those who performed at the top of their class to mentor incoming 1Ls on how to succeed during their first year of law school.
Prior to working as an attorney at LHP, Harold worked at a large full-service law firm in Downtown LA where he was assigned to the Workers Compensation (WC) practice group where he gained meaningful insight into the inner workings of CA’s WC system. Now at LHP, Harold holds a dual role as a demands/litigation attorney where he zealously advocates for clients in negotiations with adjusters and handles various litigation matters from conducting discovery to attending hearings.
Harold is an avid Disneyland enjoyer and loves trying out all the new food and drink items seasonally available at the park. Outside of Disney, Harold enjoys traveling and trying out new food spots in the SoCal area.
Barry Zlotowicz
Associate Attorney - Case Management:
Barry Zlotowicz has a diverse legal background that spans over 30 years. He graduated from California State University Northridge with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He then went to Pepperdine University School of Law where he excelled in courses such as Civil Procedure and in Moot Court competitions. Barry then obtained a Masters of Law (LL.M.) from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Barry began his career as a defense attorney but quickly realized that working for insurance companies and large corporations was not for him. He also worked for legal research companies Westlaw (Thomson Reuters) and LexisNexis. However, it was as a personal injury attorney where he found the most satisfaction. Barry is a tireless advocate for victims of auto, motorcycle, bicycle, Uber/Lyft and other personal injury accidents. He spent 9 years working at boutique personal injury law firms before joining The Law Offices of Larry H Parker.
He is also committed to making a difference outside of the office. Barry was on the board of directors of two non-profit organizations. One was dedicated to feeding the poor and the other to fixing the criminal justice system. In his free time, you can find Barry at the gym as he was formerly a certified personal trainer. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his brother and mother, both of whom are here in L.A., his friends and visiting his 3 amazing daughters.

For over 10 years, our office has provided over $200,000 in scholarships to local students who have overcome difficult situations to display a desire to succeed through academic excellence and community service. Our office has also donated funds to World Vision, a charity that helps provide clean water or other necessities of daily life for more than 100 million people in nearly 100 countries worldwide. Our Long Beach offices also hold an annual blood drive with the American Red Cross. We have teamed up with the LAPD to distribute toys to thousands of children. Larry H. Parker personally gives back to the community in his own heartfelt manner as well.
