Morgan Hill, CA (June 12, 2024) – A car accident in Morgan Hill killed a 19-year-old San Jose woman on Northbound Highway 101 at Cochrane Road. According to KION46, the crash happened at about 9:17 p.m. on Tuesday.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the woman was riding a Yamaha motorcycle heading north. 

According to officers, the accident scene included a Kia Forte, Dodge Ram, and a Ford Escape. Allegedly, these vehicles were slowed down due to an overturned big rig truck ahead.

Moreover, investigators determined that the motorcyclist initiated the crash with the Kia Forte and subsequently collided with the Dodge Ram, leading to her ejection from the motorcycle.

Consequently, she ended up beneath the Dodge Ram. Meanwhile, the motorcycle continued moving eastward and ultimately hit a Ford Escape.

Unfortunately, the officers declared the woman dead at the scene while the drivers of each vehicle sustained no injuries.

Additionally, the spokesperson said it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in this car accident in Morgan Hill.
