Excite USA recalls toy helicopters due to laceration hazard
About 24,000 Excite USA toy Military Copters were recalled after three reports of the plastic blades detaching from the helicopter while in use. Two of these reports included injuries from the dislodged blade. The toy helicopters were manufactured in China. See the recall.
Harbinger Fitness recalls Ab Straps due to laceration hazard
About 4,169 Ab Strabs exercise equipment were recalled after two reports of the plastic buckles breaking while in use. Both reports included injuries to the victim’s heads and necks. The Ab Straps from Harbinger Fitness were made in China. See the recall.
Calphalon recalls knife sets due to laceration hazard
About 217,300 Calphalon Contemporary Cutlery Knife Sets were recalled after an injury was reported when an 8-inch knife protruded from the bottom of the holder. The Calphalon Contemporary Cutlery Knife Set is made in China. See the recall.
General Electric and Sharp recall air conditioners and heaters due to fire hazard
About 90,600 GE Zoneline Air Conditioners and Heaters were recalled after four reports of an electrical component failing, causing smoke and fire while the unit was in use. Two of these reports involved property damage from a fire that spread beyond the product. The GE Zoneline Air Conditioner and Heater is manufactured in China. See the recall.
Target expands recall for child booster seats due to falling hazard
About 375,000 additional Circo Child Booster Seats were recalled by Target after 10 additional reports of the restraint buckle unexpectedly opening. Three of these reports included minor injuries after a child fell forward out of the seat. The Circo Child Booster seat is made in China. See the recall.
TJX recalls girls’ dresses due to choking hazard
About 23,600 Emma’s Garden Polka-Dot girls’ dresses were recalled after discovery that the decorative buttons on the dress can come loose, posing a choking hazard. No injuries or incidents have been reported. The dresses were manufactured in China. See the recall.
Big Lots reaclls futon bunk beds after child’s death
About 30,000 metal futon bunk beds were recalled by Big Lots after a three-year old boy died after becoming entrapped in the product. Consumers should immediately stop using these bunk beds. For more information, see the recall.
