Shawn Jordan Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Sacramento

Shawn Jordan, 18, lost his life in a hit-and-run accident in Sacramento after a car hit him while walking on a sidewalk-less Sacramento-area road. The accident happened on June 15 at the north end of the Walerga Road overpass above Roseville Road.

Recently, the police have pinpointed a red Mitsubishi Lancer, model years 2000 to 2003, as the suspect vehicle. The North Sacramento office of the California Highway Patrol disclosed the vehicle’s description. Moreover, it likely has damage to the right front end, including potential damage to a headlight, windshield, or the passenger-side mirror.

Meanwhile, witnesses reported seeing the sedan driving north on Walerga Road near Penwith Way at the time of the incident that resulted in Shawn Jordan’s death. The driver is believed to have then traveled east on Don Julio Boulevard, where police found more evidence.

Previously, authorities thought the car involved might have been a Toyota Corolla.

Sadly, Shawn Jordan fell into a coma on June 16 following the accident and passed away five days later in the hospital. Further, Liz Ames, his aunt, is pleading for help in getting answers, expressing that while information won’t bring Shawn Jordan back, the family seeks justice.

Despite the driver fleeing the scene, a homeless man named Dave witnessed the accident. He sprang into action, calling an ambulance for Shawn Jordan. Later, he returned the young man’s phone to his family.

Tragically, Shawn Jordan has become one of the many individuals who died on Sacramento roads this year.
